When it comes to yoga retreats, Kailyoga is a gem. You have two locations to pick from, Italy and Spain. We chose Italy.

The retreat is located in beautiful Puglia, which is famous for the unique conical construction known as a Trullo. The whole region is scattered with them, and a trullo was also my bedroom for the week.

Every morning we started and ended our day with mediation then yoga, and in between we would have delicious Italian homemade food freshly prepared on the day. The retreat feels more like a little village where you meet and mingle over breakfast lunch and dinner, so you naturally end up bonding with your yoga classmates who come from all over the world.

We also made time for a bike ride to the local town, a trip to the beach and enjoyed some chill out nights in the outdoor jacuzzi whilst watching the sunset.

Scattered around the resort you will find new inspirational messages everyday on small blackboards hidden beneath trees, which I found quite unique and motivating.

Be prepared for a lot of healthy food, friendly chats, mediation, and a lot of yoga!
