RAFFLES HOTEL - Seychelles

By Punam Verma

WOW WOW WOW! The Raffles hotel on the island of Praline is simply one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in.

There are in total 86 luxurious villas built along a hill and every villa has it's own pool, and a large outdoor pavilion that overlooks the Indian ocean. The views are simply incredible.

The villa we stayed in had two huge bedrooms each with two double beds, a bath tub over looking the ocean, and an outdoor shower. In between the two bedrooms is a modern lounge and dining area, which open up to the outdoor patio, seating area and private pool.

The overall design of each villa is perfect and spacious. In fact, I found it hard to leave my villa, I could have just wasted days away in there ordering room service and taking in the views of the ocean.

But if you do manage to make it out of there you will find some of the most beautiful beaches around the resort. In fact the Seychelles is known for having one of the most photographed beaches in the world, it's called Anse Source D’Argent on La Digue island.

When it comes to relaxation, the Spa at the hotel is a must.  Their treatment rooms also overlook the ocean, so your mind body and spirit will be aligned pretty quickly at this resort.

There are a variety of dining experiences to indulge in too, including outdoor and indoor dining. One very special experience we enjoyed was a private lunch on the beach. We watched the chef pick up fresh fish from the boat, bring it to the cooking area which was also set up on the beach, and he then cooked it in front of us before serving us the delicious meal right in front of the ocean.

You can't get fresher than that!

Since opening in 2011, this hotel has already won an array of awards including best Spa hotel, and best luxury hotel. And as you can tell from the photos, it's well deserved.
